About Us

The Kansas Research Nexus is a regional economic development marketing, leadership and advocacy alliance that promotes economic growth by raising the usability of the Lawrence, Topeka and Manhattan region for the animal and life sciences.

With a population exceeding 470,000 people, the Kansas Research Nexus is home to the University of Kansas, Kansas State University and Washburn University. Research from these nationally-acclaimed universities includes the areas of animal health, human health research in cures for cancer and biomass and clean technology.

This is a unique partnership enhanced by the support of elected officials and civic leaders across the region. The partnership was forged through a shared commitment to enhance awareness of the unique capabilities resident within our region and showcase its many benefits to a wide range of industries.
